About us

Innovating for a more sustainable food system!

Our mission

L’Aube Food Hub strengthens the resilience of member farms and their operational capacity to serve various local markets in order to democratize the purchase of local, organic products.

Our vision

Montreal’s food system is resilient.
It ensures that the work of small organic farms is fairly valued and that everyone has access to healthy, local food.

The values that are the foundation of our food hub

  • Innovation

We’re pioneering new methods of local marketing in Quebec. Driven by innovation, we adopt practices that benefit both our organic farms and the entire community.

  • Collaboration

Collaboration extends beyond our day-to-day activities to become a strategic pillar that connects all food stakeholders. We cultivate strong partnerships with all of these stakeholders, with each actively contributing to innovation in the food sector and in the local economy.

  • Proximity

Proximity is at the heart of our efforts to create a resilient food model. By favouring both geographic and social proximity, we forge strong human connections between organic farms and consumers.

  • Solidarity

Our solidarity is reflected in our unwavering support for small-scale producers and in our advocacy for more equitable access to healthy food.

  • Sustainability

We adopt practices that minimize our environmental footprint by ensuring the sustainable use of production resources to strengthen the resilience of the ecosystem on which our food depends.
